To mark U2's concert in the city next week, Cleveland College Radio are hosting Beautiful Day 2001 - the U2 Marathon.

The 18-hour U2 Summer Music Marathon begins at 7 a.m. on May 3rd and continues until 1 a.m. the next morning on WBWC FM/88.3.

As well as scores of U2 tracks it will also feature reports from the General Admission line at Gund Arena and interviews with fans about their favourite band.

OEFans from all over the world can tap into our broadcast over the Internet. said Mary Cipriani, a former college radio disc jockey who is volunteering for the marathon. "We've posted the show on a number of U2 fan sites, and already are getting a bunch of song requests."

The entire event will be webcast live via Real Audio and can be accessed at www.bw.edu
